Letter of Impression
of the late venerable Maulana Ali Miyan Nadwi, Farmer Rector, Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow.
Prose is to Allah and peace and blessings be on the Apstle Muhammad, on his progeny and all his companions. The Jamiatul Mominat al Islamia was established by some people of Islamic knowledge and religious solicitude in the city of Lucknow, India. In the forefront of them was the Late Maulana Md. Rizwan Nadwi, senior teacher, faulty of Islamic Sharia, Nadwatul Ulama. It is a public institution for the education of the female wing of the Muslim society, covering Lucknow, which accommodates about half a million Muslim population. The city is in a pressing want that such institutions be established so as to cover the educational requirements of Muslim boys as well as the girls. It is expected that this Jamia will cover a good art of the religious educational needs. Earlier the institution existed inside the city. But the increasing number of the students forced the administration shift the Jaima to the outer part of the city as the earlier place had turned in capacious to accommodate the growing number of the students.
Some urgently required buildings have come into being, and still the Jamia is in want to more buildings. I myself have happened to visit the Jamia more times than one. I am sanguine that the Jamia will attract attention of the people who have been fortunately granted the surplus wealth by Allah and they will extend to the Jamia their hand of support. Towards the end, I pray Allah for the progress and prosperity of the Jamia.
